Before the fun and games on the lake we toured our good friends' gorgeous new home they'd just built on 5-acres near the Lake. As we picked our way through tall grasses, wildflowers and rocky ground, my host pointed out some local wild treasures and by the end of my trip after a couple more jaunts around the property, I came home loaded with a big bag of booty! Goat's hair moss, ponderosa pine needles, lodge pole pine branches, seed pods, dried baby wildflower bouquets and my favorite find, a wild turkey feather!
I've always loved picking out something from nature and brining it home like a shell or a pebble or a beautiful piece of wood that nature has rendered perfect. Now I'm beginning to use all those treasures I find! So now, every time I visit a new place I can create a new face weaving in fond memories of friends and locales while I'm working.
Well, time for me to go dig through my goodie bags from ID and find my next doll!
